The Story Behind Attractive Ocean Jewelry
For some people, the ocean is a place they visit. For me, it has always been a part of who I am.
I grew up with the ocean as my constant companion—from the waves of Puerto Rico and California to the warm waters of Costa Rica and the quiet beauty of Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay. Surfing, fishing, exploring, and simply being near the water have shaped the way I see the world.
Living in a tiny farmhouse in Costa Rica, surrounded by animals and vibrant nature, taught me to slow down and notice the details—the shape of a creature, the movement of a fish, the textures and forms found in nature. Those details would eventually become the inspiration for my art.
From Wax to Wearable Art
My journey into jewelry began with sculpting.
I have worked for many years sculpting, where I learned to work with precision and transform small amounts of wax into detailed forms. That experience gave me the foundation to develop my own approach to sculpting.
I began creating ocean-inspired rings by hand simply because I wanted to wear something that reflected the creatures and places I loved.
People noticed.
They asked about the unusual fish and marine-life designs on my hands. They complimented them. They wanted to know where they could find something similar.
After I got married, my wife encouraged me to share my creations with others. What began as something I made for myself slowly grew into Attractive Ocean Jewelry.
Inspired by the Water
Today, every piece begins with an idea, a memory, or a creature that has captured my imagination.
I hand-sculpt my designs using an old-school lost-wax technique, turning the smallest details of fish and marine life into wearable art. Many of my designs are inspired by the game fish I pursue in the Chesapeake Bay, the creatures I've encountered throughout my life, and the places where I've felt most connected to nature.
From a powerful game fish to a sea turtle, crab, shark, octopus, or another creature of the sea, I want each design to capture something real—the character, movement, and spirit of the animal.
This isn't mass-produced jewelry designed to blend in.
It's jewelry created to stand out and mean something.
A Family Passion
Attractive Ocean Jewelry has grown into more than a jewelry business. It has become something our family builds together.
My wife and my teenage son are part of the journey, and being able to create, learn, and grow together makes this business especially meaningful to us.
We are proud to make our jewelry in the USA and to share our passion for the ocean, craftsmanship, and art with people who feel the same connection to the water.
